Frequently AskeD Questions
WHAT WRAP Should I USE?
- T-1 mesh is highly effective and recommended if there are few small bait thieves like pinfish to contend with. If bait thieves are in abundance use our "Double Wrap".
- T-2 is a very fine mesh and good when this type mesh is desired.
- T-3 is a stronger mesh when strength is the primary concern.
- Our 4" and 6" inch Type 1 wraps are great for frozen Scads (Cigar minnows), Herring and similar baits.
- Our 4" Type 3 wrap is great for larger gamefish when a strong mesh is needed--see this link for demonstration. youtu.be/h1j2PtpSWKQ
- Our T-6 wrap is offered in our "Crab Wrap". T-6 is almost invisible but strong.
WHAT HOOK IS RECOMMENDed?
The Octopus beak, offset hook. We offer these hooks in the following sizes: #1, 1/0, 6/0, 8/0. The 6/0 and 8/0 is used with our larger wraps to catch large game-fish.
HOW do you use the wrap with the hook?
After injected bait into the wrap, close the wrap with the hook by inserting the hook at the edge of one corner of the open end of the wrap. Then insert the hook through the other edge of the open end of the wrap. This closes the open end and traps the bait inside. Finally, insert the hook through the middle of the wrap. You are ready to fish.

To Wrap it up:
The best fishing advice in a snap shot: Always use the smallest hook, weight, line that you can get away with. Use common sense as starting point and adjust as condition change. Fresh bait is the best bait. Move if you are not getting any "bites". Learn how to catch/gather/care for bait (huge advantage to those that get good at this). Keep experimenting with the wrap-fishing-system, you will likely come up with a killer method for your local waters.
