Best way to keep bait on the hook. The 6 inch wraps works very well using whole fish such as Scad (Cigar Minnows) Herring, Smelt & Sardines. It is recommend the whole fish is inserted head first leaving the tail section exposed. If using with prepared baits or baits such as Chicken Liver for larger game-fish the best hook for this application is the Octopus Beak off-set hook size 6/0. ​The Fishing Wrap is for large baits up to 6 inches long and 1 1/2 inch wide. Designed to fit a whole fish such as Scad (Cigar Minnow) Herring, Smelt and other bait fish.  If the bait is larger you may have to alter the bait to fit the wrap.  See "WrapFishingsystem in Action" on this webpage to see one application for this type wrap.  The wrap can be downsized to fit baits smaller than 6" X 1 1/2 " by simple cutting the length.  If filling the wrap to capacity with chum like bait recommend a double hook application,  One hook to close the wrap at the top the 2nd hook embedded 3 inches down from the top.   Type 1 refers to the size and shape of the mesh. Type 1 is hexagonal shaped mesh approximately 3 mm in size.  The fabric is made of nylon and sewn with synthetic thread.  This forms a durable wrap. This wrap is very good for larger baits typically fished in the surf, rivers, lakes, bays, seas for Catfish, Snapper, Grouper, Striped Bass, Redfish and other large game-fish. In this application the goal is for the wrap to keep the bait intact until the fish strikes. Each Wrap is made by hand individually. There is no automation. Due to this, there made be slight variations in size.
